FAQ

Account questions and a beginner guide to buying tokens with crypto.

Where do I create and manage my characters?

Open Characters and choose My characters. Save draft (Save changes once it exists) keeps your work, including unfinished drafts; a character needs a name to save. Once a name and species are supplied, saved characters can be used privately in new chats and generation. Saved reference images are optional video inputs, not required for chat; chat-image integration is planned for the future. Existing conversations keep their saved version. Generating a preview is a separate paid action. Public sharing requires an explicit review submission. Archive hides a character from your active library and new selections, and Restore brings it back; existing conversations, media and published versions remain available.

What are Quick, Directed and Long videos?

Three shapes of the same form. Quick makes one video of 5 to 15 seconds from your description, with an optional start frame. Directed adds an end frame and reference pictures or clips that steer the look and the motion. Long makes videos longer than 15 seconds, up to 60, as parts of up to 15 seconds you write and review one at a time. Adding a reference picture, a clip or an end frame moves the form to Directed, and going past 15 seconds moves it to Long; to go back, remove what you added or shorten the video. Longer videos cost more because every part is a render.

How do I keep characters consistent in a video?

Choose up to two characters in the video creator and select their identity reference images. Use saved characters or name video-only characters from your own images. Type @ in a description to select a character and give each one a distinct action or spoken line; every @mention needs a chosen character before you can generate. References apply to every part unless you customize that part; explicit empty overrides stay empty. Start and end frames control composition separately. Scene suggestions run only when requested. Review generated results: reference guidance cannot guarantee perfect consistency.

What is a reference clip, and how do I add one?

A reference clip is a short piece of video that lends its motion, pacing and camera to the video you are making. Add one from the References row: Upload an MP4, WebM or MOV up to 50 MB and 4 hours, pick one from Your library, or paste a link. Your file starts uploading as soon as you add it, so it is ready when you write the parts or generate. Each clip lends a section of 2.4 to 15 seconds; tap the time on its tile to choose the section, whether it is matched to your shape or used whole, and where it is cropped. A single video takes up to 3 clips and 9 pictures, and its start and end frames each use one of those pictures. A video made in parts or continuing another takes up to 2 clips and 8 pictures, and a final frame uses one. Your characters' reference pictures count toward the same picture limit. Reference guidance is approximate: a clip can also pull in the character or the setting.

How much video can I import from a link?

Choose any range from 1 second to 10 minutes, up to 200 MB. Shortcuts are optional; start and end accept fractional seconds. Eligible short videos can be imported whole. Imports continue in the background and can be resumed by reopening the import dialog in the same browser and account. Generation uses a separately selected short reference section.

What does the start-frame studio do?

The start-frame studio decides how your video opens. Pick frame scrubs a clip and shows the crop your video keeps, and Use this frame hands that moment to the video. Improve it with AI opens Refine, where reading the frame fills in the description, and you generate images of your characters in that pose. Every generated image costs tokens and takes about a minute; the counter sets how many. Two-character images need a mask, and a mask belongs to the frame it was made from. Takes are kept on Use, and Use in video applies the one you choose, with an Undo. Closing the studio keeps your work; Start over forgets it.

How do long videos work?

Anything over 15 seconds is made in parts of up to 15 seconds each, and each part continues the one before it. Write the parts drafts one description per part from your idea and each clip section; nothing renders and nothing is charged until you generate. With Stop after each part to review on, you generate part 1, review it, and generate the next when you are happy; with it off, Generate whole sequence renders every part in turn. Regenerating a part adds a take and keeps the earlier videos; choosing another take is free and clears later selections. Finish and stitch joins the parts into the final video and has its own small cost. Videos run up to 60 seconds.

Can I review a video one part at a time?

Yes. Keep Stop after each part to review on, then choose Save plan · no generation charge to keep the plan without generating, or Generate part 1 of N. Review each result, edit future descriptions, and generate the next part when ready. Regeneration keeps earlier takes but clears later selections. Whole-sequence generation is optional. Each generation button shows its estimated cost and each step is charged only when you start it; planning a sequence does not queue every part. Saved plans remain in the jobs window.

Do videos have sound, and can characters talk?

Yes. Every new video is made with its own sound: ambience and the sounds of the action, plus speech when you ask for it. To make a character speak, write the exact words and who says them in your description, or in More direction under Audio and dialogue. If you ask for no speech, none is added, and music is added only when you ask for it. Speech and picture are generated together, but perfect lip sync is not guaranteed, so short lines work best. With a reference clip, choose its Audio: Match clip (the default) makes mouths and bodies move with the clip's voices and sounds; Original keeps that clip section's exact sound, with the action timed to it and no new lines added on top; New sound ignores the clip's sound and makes new sound from your description.

What do the reference roles mean?

Each reference says what it lends. A clip is Motion (its movement, pacing and camera, not its characters or background) or Style (its lighting, palette and look). A picture is Character (identity, anatomy, wardrobe and colours) or Setting (environment, props and lighting, not the subjects). In a project, audio can also be a Voice for a character's new dialogue or a Performance whose recorded words and timing are kept, where this is available. With a start frame, the camera follows the start frame rather than a Motion clip. Guidance is approximate, so check the result.

How much does a video cost?

The price depends on length, shape, quality and speed, and the form shows it before you generate. Established base prices at Balanced speed for a square Standard video are 600 tokens for 5 seconds, 1325 for 10 and 2075 for 15; your current quote applies, and wider shapes and High quality cost more, Fast costs less and Best more. Reference pictures, clips or chosen characters, and continuing a video, add a quarter plus 150 tokens. A long video is priced part by part plus a small cost to stitch the parts together, and each part is charged only when it starts. Writing descriptions and parts and saving a plan are free, and failed videos are refunded automatically.

How do I continue or extend a video?

Open the menu on one of your finished videos and choose Continue this video, then describe what happens next and press Continue video. The continuation keeps the shape and quality of the original. One continuation is 5 to 15 seconds; longer ones are made in parts, up to 60 seconds of new video, and joined with the original into one video. A single continuation is a new video with only the new seconds, linked to the original; join them in Edit and stitch clips if you want one file. To continue from a trimmed moment, use Extend from trimmed end in Edit and stitch clips. A continuation includes an additional charge; review the current price before generating. The video you continue has to finish rendering first.

What does Remix do?

Remix reopens the video form with that video's settings: your description, length, shape, frames, reference clips and characters. Change what you like and generate a new version; the original stays untouched and nothing is charged until you generate. Remixing a continuation lets you redo that continuation from its original, and remixing a video made in parts rebuilds its plan.

What happens if a video fails?

Its tokens are refunded automatically. Jobs in progress shows the reason with Tokens refunded or Refund pending, plus Try again, which reopens the form with the same settings, and Dismiss. If a video seems stuck, Check job statuses in the jobs window asks the render server again, and videos still unfinished after six hours are failed and refunded automatically. When one part of a long video fails, the parts already made are kept; press Retry on its plan card once the refund shows.

What is a Video Project, and how do I share one?

Every video made in parts also has a project: its own page with the finished video, a title and description you can edit, the parts and their descriptions, the reference clips that were used and the characters. Open it with Open video project in a video tile menu, or Open project on the plan card in the jobs window. Share on the project page makes it public and puts the finished video in the public gallery; the page then keeps working for anyone with the link. A project can be shared once it is finished. Unshare makes it private again.

Can I make a short with several shots and keep editing while they generate?

Where the project workspace is available, open Studio from your project. Production holds up to 30 shots, each with its own multipart plan and alternative takes. Edit holds a separate saved timeline with up to 60 entries and a five-minute export. Move between them whenever you need: saving, previewing and switching views do not generate or charge. Rework a whole shot or a part and its dependent continuation; the previous take stays available. Review replacement before changing footage already used in the edit. Export shows a native token quote and keeps the saved edit even if rendering fails. Publishing freezes the selected completed export and the recipes of the shots used; later edits and unused takes stay private until you publish an update.

How do I use someone else's shared Video Project?

Open the shared project page and choose Use this project. The video form opens already filled in: the description, the part descriptions, the length, shape and quality, and the reference clips exactly as they were cut, so nothing has to be cut again. Change the start frame and the characters to make it yours, then generate. Private references that are not yours are left out and the characters are flagged for review. Nothing is generated until you press the button, and you pay the normal cost for your own video; the original is untouched. For a published multi-shot project, Use this project creates a private copy with draft shots and a timeline of placeholders; generate a take for each shot and review it into the placeholders before exporting. Creating the copy does not generate or charge. For your own project, use Open Studio instead.

Where do I find the project behind a video?

Open a video tile menu and choose Open video project: it appears on any video that belongs to one and that you can see. Your own finished projects also offer Share project there. In the jobs window, the plan card for a multi-part video has Open project. The gallery can also list projects on their own, as cards with their cover and title, in both your gallery and the public one.

How do I organize a large gallery?

Open the gallery settings and use Organize. Group by puts your media under headings by date, character, type, project or lineage, and none returns to a plain grid. Layout switches between the grid and Folders, where each group is a card with a cover and a count that opens to its contents. Hide clip parts hides the intermediate parts of videos made in parts, so only the finished videos remain. The settings are remembered on this device and can be changed back at any time.

Are my chat messages saved on the server?

Yes. Chat messages are stored securely on our servers so you can resume conversations across devices, and you can delete individual chats or your full history at any time in the app.

How many tokens does a chat reply cost?

From 10 to 20 tokens per text reply, depending on the chat model you choose in the chat menu (DeepSeek, Gemma and Llama 10; DeepSeek Plus and GLM 15; MiMo 20). Each option shows its price per reply, and the token chip in the message box shows what your next reply costs. A picture or voice reply adds its own cost. Signed-out guests chat free with the 10-token models.

Does Foxy cost tokens?

Ask Foxy inside the Get tokens dialog is free: up to 30 questions a day, about paying only. Everywhere else, your first 10 Foxy requests each day are free, resetting at 00:00 UTC. After that, paid requests are priced from measured AI usage, with a three-token minimum. Foxy shows your maximum charge before sending. When an upfront reservation is shown, unused tokens return after completion; otherwise the charge follows completion. Requests that fail are not charged. Your first 3 requests each day that are stopped by our limits are free; later ones bill the help they already gave, never more than your balance. If you stop a request yourself, the help it already gave is billed (never an unsubmitted generation). Generating or exporting images, videos and stories is priced separately, and Foxy always shows you the price for approval first.

How do I pay, step by step?

1. Pick a pack and the app you pay from, then press Show my address to get your address and amount. 2. Send that amount from any exchange or wallet, such as Coinbase, Kraken or Binance. 3. Tokens land automatically when the network confirms, usually in about 10 minutes.

Why crypto only?

Card processors do not serve adult AI sites, so cards are not an option for us. Crypto is what is left, and it also keeps our fees low, which is why a $5 pack buys as many tokens as it does. Tokens you buy never expire.

Do I need to mine crypto or run a wallet?

No. You do not need to mine anything or run your own wallet. Most people buy USDC in an exchange app such as Coinbase or Kraken and send it straight from there.

Why is USDC the recommended coin?

USDC is a dollar-backed stablecoin, so it is designed to stay close to 1 USD. That makes the checkout amount easy to read. You can pay with USDT, SOL or LTC instead: on the app step, pick it under Change coin (from the send screen, press Change by your pack, then Continue; once an address is open, press Start over first).

Where do I buy USDC?

Coinbase and Kraken are the usual starting points. Kraken serves many countries and Coinbase may also be available depending on your region. Check fees, identity requirements and supported networks in the service before you buy.

What do I need to get right when I send?

Two things: the amount and the network. Send exactly the amount shown in checkout, on the network shown next to the address. Use the copy buttons or the QR code so nothing is retyped.

What happens after I send it?

Nothing else is needed from you. Checkout watches the blockchain and credits your token balance automatically once the transfer confirms. You do not need to claim anything or contact support.

How long does it take?

Usually about 10 minutes. It depends on how quickly your exchange releases the transfer and how quickly the network confirms it, so it can occasionally take longer.

Can I close the page and come back?

Yes. The payment keeps running without the page open, and the tokens are credited whenever the transfer confirms. Reopening checkout shows the current status.

Do purchased tokens expire?

No. Tokens you buy never expire. They sit in your balance until you use them, alongside the free tokens that arrive every day.
