- Story memory you can read and correct, plus pinned facts the character always keeps in mind
- No subscription: crypto token packs, no payment renews, and tokens you buy never expire. Failed images and videos are refunded
Character.AI's sale and your chats
Character.AI filed for Chapter 11 on October 12, 2026 to sell the business, and said the platform "remains up and running". Its notice says an auction is scheduled for December 1, unless it is cancelled or adjourned.
FurChat's importer reads the data export Character.AI emails you, plus character cards and pasted chats. Your first 10 characters and 25 chats are free, and imported chats carry on with their story memory. Our Character.AI guide walks through the export.
