Free furry AI roleplay: what FurChat gives you
· Competitor details checked
FurChat runs this site. This page describes our own free plan; details about other sites link to their own pages.
FurChat is free to start, but it is not unlimited. Every account gets 100 free tokens a day, and each reply spends some of them. This page shows exactly how far that goes, so you know what to expect before you sign up.
FurChat is a furry and anthro roleplay site for adults 18 and over. We run it, and this page describes our own free plan.
Start chatting freeBefore you sign up
You can talk to a public furry character without an account. A guest can send 5 messages to each character, and up to 8 a day from one device. Guest chats use the 10-token chat models and are free.
To keep going after that, make a free account. No card is needed.
What 100 free tokens a day buys
| Cost | With 100 tokens | |
|---|---|---|
| Text reply | 10–25 tokens, by chat model | 4 to 10 replies |
| Reply with a picture | 25 to 50 tokens | 2 to 4 of them |
| Voice reply | From 15 tokens, more for longer replies | A few, on top of the text |
| 5-second video | From 600 tokens | Needs bonus or bought tokens |
Free tokens come back every day. They do not build up, so a quiet day does not save them for later.
There are 6 chat models. The 10-token ones stretch your free tokens furthest.
Other free things on FurChat
- A welcome bonus of up to 750 tokens in your first two weeks: 300 when you sign up (email accounts once the address is confirmed), 200 for your first character, and 250 when you come back on a later day
- Bring characters from other sites with the importer. Your first 10 characters and 25 chats are free
- A reply that fails is not charged, and a failed picture or video gives its tokens back
- Swipes, story memory you can edit and pinned facts work on every account
What costs money
When 100 tokens a day is not enough, you buy a token pack, from $5 (7,500 tokens) to $100 (275,000 tokens). Packs are paid in crypto (USDC, USDT, SOL or LTC). There is no subscription, nothing renews, and tokens you buy never expire. Pricing lists every pack.
If you want unlimited free text
FurChat does not offer unlimited free chat. Other sites do it differently. As of November 2026, JanitorAI's free tier includes "unlimited chats" with its standard models. SpicyChat has a free tier too, with ads, a 4,096-token context and group chats; its paid tiers remove the ads. Character.AI's free plan keeps unlimited messaging, but its rules ban pornographic content.
What FurChat adds is the furry side: art drawn for each species, voices, and memory you can edit. Our price tracker puts the numbers next to each other.
Questions
Is FurChat really free?
Free to start, yes. You get 100 tokens every day at no cost, enough for 4 to 10 text replies. Pictures, voice and video use the same tokens, so they go faster.
Do unused free tokens carry over?
No. The daily free tokens reset each day. Tokens you buy, and bonus tokens, stay in your balance.
Can I chat without signing up?
Yes, for a few messages. A guest can send 5 messages to each character and up to 8 a day in total. After that you need a free account.
Is there a free trial that turns into a subscription?
No. FurChat has no subscription at all. If you buy tokens, you pay once in crypto and nothing renews.
